Valkyrie Horde
A trial of the new Gangrel loot. This is a modernisation of my old Gangrel wall deck; I changed most of the crypt and diversified it with Thing and a few allies, while keeping a solid core of intercept and press-based combat. It's all good, solid stuff, so no surprise that it works pretty well. In yesterday's game I had two allies stolen, but still held my predator off (claw combat versus !Bruhaj) pretty easily, and got steam rolling with seven vampires in play - all 3 of my unique vampires and 4 of the Valkyrie.
It gets discounted minions / gains about 2 pool a turn, so doesn't have to be as twitchy on defense as the original version.

If I pull all Valkyrie and no Brunhilde, there's not quite enough to keep them busy. Maybe too much fortitude. So possibly I keep just base Ramona, and swap dome Fortitude for a couple more Procurers - these would give more actions for idle Valkyrie, and also hasten Danielle's ability. Other than that, it seems hard to improve without changing the concept. |

- I need the Anarch Revolts. I'd like more. - I'd like to add a Haven Uncovered. If all goes well and I oust my initial prey, I need a late game option, to delete any of my new prey's vampires that are Anarch. - I'd like to have more lube cards in the early game (like Dreams and Storage Annex), to allow me to set up sooner, without diminishing my ability to weather a strong predator. Maybe that means I need Blackhorse Tanner in my crypt. I could probaly drop my crypt size and get rolling a bit faster. Otherwise, there's not a lot of fat to trim, here. The only luxury is Agaitas' special ability. I like the splash of randomness it can bring, and it has nice synergy with Aura Reading and the splash of odd disciplines my large guys have. Two possibilities, then: 1) streamline the Revolt angle. Forget the Agaitas tricks, drop the crypt size, use the resulting pool buffer on some Parthenons, and play it more aggressively. 2) the opposite: drop the Anarch angle, make it totally focused on Agaitas. Tzim toolbox
This began as a starter deck. Two, really: I combined two starter decks, removed the dross, and mixed in a few extra cards from boosters, mainly to diversify the crypt. A fine, solid deck. Notably, with 2 copies of their hunting ground, and a sprinkle of Leather Jacket and Inner Essence, I could Blood Doll off minions, and get into a good few fights, without running down on blood.When I got jaded, I made it more of a monstrous / trick deck: big vampires, presses, stacks of Crows and Horrid Form. It'd cycle well and burn vampires in the right environment, but could fail against common counters - S:CE would see it rip through cards at a terrific rate, to little effect.
I gave Stu the deck and some guidelines... he moved it close to its original (toolbox) form. Comparatively fewer permanents, much less blood management, but more tricks. Combat is short chain, simple and nasty. It probably needs more outings / tweaking, but seems to do the job.

Weenie animalism
Straight-up birds & bats rush deck. The only twist is that 7/12 of the crypt have some fortitude, so it can hammer other combat decks - I've beaten up Beast with these guys. A bonus is that it can tear up Imbued. Beast can't cycle Taste, Disarm, Drawing out the Beast etc, against Imbued, and is basically screwed when Jack Harmon gets a gun or puts on a Leather Jacket ...but these guys can use basic Terror Frenzy to quickly chew him up.
Update: the deck is too good / one trick for casual games. If it goes off, it simply obliterates people before they can play, so it has been retired.

Lasombra Power Structure
Power Structure. A good, solid card that suggests the rest of the deck... the crypt was mostly big guys (Gratiano and chums) for the titles, skills and ability to breed with Creation Rites. A slew of votes and Dominate filth did the damage. Bloat vote, Minion Tap and bleed bounce give it some legs.
The deck suffered a bit from the number of moving parts, too much set up and not enough lunge, and for looking stronger than it is.
I broke the deck up when Villein came out. It needed the Minion Taps to survive.

Weenie obfuscate
A swarm !Malk and weenies deck. Capacity average is just under 4. Lots of Obf masters.
OBF core combo: Night Moves / Marked Path / Spying Mission. Small bleed, but the whole combo comes out at 6 stealth, which is nice, and all are playable against a prey who never blocks, which reduces hand jam.
The baby !Malks give me Kindred Spirits and tricks, such as Sibyl's Tongue to fetch Narrow Minds or whatever the situation warrants.
Not really a good deck, I made it just as an opportunity to play some cool / different cards without being totally ineffectual at winning games.

Sudden !Mal
Kindred Spirits handles pool gain and forward pressure. Most Dementation is cheap or free, so the Master slots don't need to be used for blood / pool management.
I used a couple of Gambit Accepted, with ALL the other Masters being Sudden Reversal. This was quite funny.
The rest of the deck pretty much builds itself. It provides a light bit of variety to S&B, but does suffer from the total absence of lube - no Dreams, Barrens etc. As a result, the card selection was skewed towards multi-use stuff, so the amount of bleed / turn is fairly light.
